Community Engagement
What is Community Engagement?
Community Engagement at Redeemer Jersey City seeks to help bring systemic change in JC by:
Humbly seeking the feedback of our Jersey City communities,
seeking to walk alongside our communities,
empowering our communities through increasing access and opportunity, and
effort to deconstruct systems of inequity, divisions and injustice for the good of the our community and for unity in the body of Christ.
How is Redeemer Jersey City engaging with the community?
The Fellowship Program: This program is a means by which we empower students and aspiring professionals in their academic and career goals.
Get involved!
Become a mentor! All who have vocational and academic experiences have something significant to offer. Consider how to share the wealth of your experiences through a relationship with a Fellow.
Become a Fellow! If you are a student or an aspiring professional seeking job opportunities, becoming a Fellow would be a great opportunity for you! We seek to provide mentorship support through your journey. You will receive a stipend that will be applied to your academic and professional financial needs. We also have opportunities for those interested to combine the Fellowship with work at the church.
Get involved with our networking and connection events! Whether you are a student, seeking a job opportunity, or well-established in your career, we can learn much from you and support one another.
Partnership with Hudson County Community College: Redeemer Jersey City is partnering with HCCC to serve the students of HCCC who are seeking support, advocacy and mentorship in academia and life. We are mobilizing our congregants and friends through a supportive mentorship program through HCCC to serve as mentors and walk alongside students seeking the support.
